After a few days in Amsterdam, have you had enough of the hustle and bustle of the city for a while? In De Hoge Veluwe National Park you can cycle, walk and relax in the great outdoors. In this gigantic area, you will find dunes, forests and beautiful flower fields. Bring your binoculars to spot all the wildlife. De Hoge Veluwe is home to mouflon sheep, red deer, boars, rabbits, and many lovely insects. In the middle of the estate, you will also find the Kröller-Müller Museum, which contains some of the most famous paintings by Vincent van Gogh. De Hoge Veluwe is located near the town of Apeldoorn. From the station, take the bus to the entrance. You can also rent bicycles there. Also in Apeldoorn is the the Apenheul: a great zoo where only monkeys live: big hairy ones, playful little ones and cute critters that run loose and that you can pet.
